Why ElderThai

Hiring on your own is cheaper until it fails

You can hire someone privately for about 30,000 baht a month. Many of those helpers are not trained, supervised, or guaranteed to stay. When care fails, your family starts over under stress.

ElderThai gives you nurse-guided, bilingual caregivers who are screened, supported, and managed. You get reliable care and clear communication at every step.

You are not paying for a body in the room. You are paying for peace of mind and care that holds up.

FAQ

Common questions

Most of our clients are expats in Thailand who need help after illness or surgery, or steady daily care at home. That can be you, a partner, or a family member staying here. Care runs at condos, houses, hotels, villas, and Airbnbs.

We book in blocks: usually 4 hours, 8 hours, or 24-hour live-in. Day shifts, night shifts, and multi-day recovery support are all normal. Tell us your schedule and we will match a block that fits, not the other way around.

No. Day to day, a trained caregiver is with you. A Nurse Coordinator sets the care plan, checks that the caregiver knows the routine, and stays reachable when something changes. If you need clinical tasks such as injections or wound dressing, we arrange a nurse for those visits separately.

Yes. We do hospital escort days at major private hospitals in Thailand. Your companion can meet you at home or the hotel, help with registration and forms, translate with staff, wait with you, and help with pharmacy and the ride back. Useful for check-ups, procedures, and discharge days.

That is one of our main jobs. Caregivers help with mobility, meals, meds reminders, hygiene, and keeping the first days at home or hotel from going sideways. We also support longer recovery when you are not ready to manage alone yet.

Caregivers work in Thai and English. That matters at hospitals, pharmacies, and building management. If a caregiver’s English is limited, our admin team will translate for you directly so instructions and updates stay clear. Other languages are sometimes possible if you ask early.

We verify ID, run background checks, and call references. Caregivers also go through skill review with our Nurse Coordinator before they start with you. If someone is not a fit after day one, tell us. We fix the match rather than leave you stuck.

They can remind you, set out doses as prescribed, and keep a simple log so nothing gets missed. They do not invent dosages or give injections unless a licensed nurse is booked for that work. Bring the hospital discharge sheet or your current med list when we start.

You pay by the block, in Thai baht. Typical rates start around 1,200 THB for 4 hours, 2,200 THB for 8 hours, and 3,000 THB per day for 24-hour cover. Exact numbers sit on each service page and can shift a little with location or special needs. We quote clearly before care starts.

We cover Bangkok and the rest of Thailand when we have caregivers nearby. That includes hotels, villas, and homes outside the capital. Send the address and we will confirm cover and any travel fee the same day.

Often within 24 to 48 hours after we understand the case and confirm a caregiver. Same-day starts happen when the need is urgent and we have someone free. Hospital escort days can usually be booked faster than live-in if the date is fixed.

You are not left without cover. We send a backup who has been briefed on your routine. That is the difference between hiring one person privately and working with a team that can cover absences.

Hit Request Care, or message us on WhatsApp or LINE. Tell us who needs help, the address or hotel, and what the days look like. We reply, ask a few practical questions, then confirm hours, price, and start date. No long form, no pressure to sign a year of care.
